What to expect: 

The rehearsal is MANDATORY for all students performing in the show! Rehearsal is on Friday June 13th at the PHSC Performing Arts Center. Students will need to arrive at 6pm and rehearsal will start at 7:00pm. Students need to arrive ready to perform, with hair and make up done, and costume, tights and proper dance shoes on. All students will sit in the audience with their class until they are called backstage. Only students with costume changes will have access to a dressing room during the rehearsal. We will call 3 or more groups at a time. Once students are finished performing in all dances they may leave. Please be aware, your teacher may need you to stay if they wish to run the dance again for spacing or lighting issues. Parents, you must stay with your child for rehearsal.

Recital:

Expected End Time: 5:30pm 

What to expect: 

The recital is on Saturday June 14th at the PHSC Performing Arts Center. Students will need to arrive at 3pm and recital will start at 4:00pm. Students need to arrive ready to perform, with hair and make up done, and costume, tights, and dance shoes on. At checked in, one parent will be given a wristband and will only be allowed backstage to walk their dancers to the assigned dressing rooms. Once dancers are settled in, all parents will need exit the backstage area and proceed to the theater lobby. For security reasons, only backstage parents will be allowed backstage during the show. Also, students will remain backstage for the entire show, roughly 2.5 hours. It is recommended to bring a snack and water (that will not stain the costume if spilled) and coloring books/crayons or some kind of entertainment while waiting backstage. *If you choose to bring a tablet, etc we cannot be responsible if it is broken, lost or stolen* After the show is over, only parents with wristbands will be allowed backstage for student pick up. Students will only be released to a parent with a wristband.  

Tickets and Recital Package Purchases: 

Tickets will be distributed the week before the show. We will be selling tickets at the door if you need a few last minute extras. Tickets will be $30 the day of the show so please purchase them in advance.  

We will pass out the teddy bears, t-shirts and memory books in the weeks leading up to the show. We will pass out the flowers in the lobby before the recital. If we have any extra items they will be for sale in the lobby before the recital. To ensure your items, please purchase them in advance if you haven’t done so already! 

Backstage Parents: 

Please understand, although our wonderful teachers will be backstage, they will not be able to be in the dressing rooms monitoring their classes during the rehearsal or recital. That’s where our wonderful backstage volunteers come in!! We need 1-3 volunteers for each class. Backstage volunteers will help with monitoring their assigned classes before and during the recital. They will also bringing the dancers to/from the stage, and help with costume changes. We need a few more parents backstage and will be sending out a Sign Up Genius for anyone interested in helping backstage.
